Loving Life During Uncertain Times
Recently, I was asked to speak at a women’s summit. I am so excited about this opportunity. At the same time, there is a lot of chaos and uncertainty in our country, and many people are overwhelmed, frustrated and concerned. This raises the question, “Is it ok to love your life in uncertain times?”
What do I think? I think it is IMPERATIVE to love your life. Especially during uncertain times.
We grow more of what we focus on. If we focus on the stress and the uncertainty of what is happening in our country, we will find more cause to be frustrated, and feel the effects of the stress even more.
I think it is more than ok to love your life. By loving our life and being intentional about what we pour our energy in to, and what we focus on, we can intentionally create fulfillment and joy despite the conditioning of the external world. We are all being impacted by the uncertainty of the modern day. So, how do we empower ourselves to build certainty and stability?
When we prioritize ourselves, we can create certainty for ourselves. When we commit to ourselves, we create stability, peace, ease and pleasure. When we are experiencing those states, our energy is clear, vibrant and positive and it radiates and impacts everyone else we interact with. As a mom and a teacher, I make sure that my frequency is as high as possible. I don’t want my energy to negatively impact my students, and I want to make sure that I am in alignment with Divine Source Energy, so that when students are tired, overwhelmed, frustrated, I don’t take personal responsibility for their feelings and experiences. Does that make sense?
If I prioritize what I need to be successful, it creates momentum and sets me up for success. I make sure I do my morning meditation practice and I listen to something inspiring on my drive to work. I pack my gym bags, prepare my food, make sure my water is filled and ready to go… That way, regardless of what the students bring to class, what I am faced with, I am grounded and aligned with my highest good.
So regardless of these uncertain times, I feel grounded, create certainty and know that I can rely on myself. My needs are tended to, so I am more capable of meeting the needs of my kids and my students. That creates a strong sense of generativity and has a positive ripple effect on everyone else I touch.
